This unit gives false alarm all the time which makes it useless (7 to 15 alarms on a 25 mile trip from home to work)I also passed in front of 2 laser detectors (biker cops standing by with the laser gun in their hands aiming at traffic) and no alarm!!! Bottom line: it was waste of time and money. If you really have to try this or any other so called super duper expensive models(in the dream of beating the cops at their own game!), make sure the vendor will give you a refund if you're not happy or you'll be sorry, seriously! It is a slightly older version, however it has all the current features still. I love the city mode 2 setting turning off x-band radar entirely around town here. None of our cops have xband anymore and itss just useless here. So I like not detecting every automatic doorway I drive by. The sensitivity is very very good. I just took 2 trips across the country with it and it detected cop after cop after cop. It also detected alot of K band radar on construction barels but thats ok. The visual que's on the top are very bright and clear and alow you to set it to mute so it makes no noise if you wish. I however run it at the minimum volume all the time. It detected 3 different radar detector detectors during my travel's I can't say where specifically but it automatically turns itself off when it detects one. That was handy too. And we drove by another officer nice and safely. If you are ready to handle the realities of radar detection then...Read more |
