Whistler XTR-330 Laser/Radar Detector with Patented POP Mode Detection

Bought this for my husband for Christmas as his old one had died. Thought it would be a great unit, but when asking him, he had several complaints. Seems with our vehicle being cold when you get in, it takes awhile for the unit to "warm up" and turn on. When it goes off when passing something (radar, electronic doors, etc.), it takes a few minutes of it not working before the light comes back on (the "H" for highway, etc.). Not sure what causes this, but it's annoying, as, by then, we could have passed another police car with radar. We'll be contacting the company about this.

I got another brand of detector as a gift and used it only 3 weeks before ordering this Whistler for myself. After the old one turned out to be a SNAKE and told me AFTER I saw the cop. Anyway, this Whistler XTR-330 does the job for me. If you don't like the flashing lights and voice messages all the time, you can turn all that off. Read the book. Now this is the quietest detector I've ever had, It tells me what band then shuts up and turns off. No blinking lights to tell the world you have a detector. Does a great job.

I have had different Manufacturers of Radars but by far this has been the best. Easy to use, Very good display of Signals, and the voice is loud enough to get your attention. I would buy another of this model if the need arises.
