Valentine One Concealed Display for Radar Detector

Instead of having everyone on your bumper because they can see the lights of your detector on the dash, you can easily move the display and controls for your V1 to a location that's better suited for you. Now, you don't have to take your eyes off the road to see the display and the device can be placed within easy arms reach to access the mute button when needed. If your V1 is powered from the cigarette lighter, you can install this unit in 2 minutes or less. If you are running hidden wires, the straight wire is easy enough to route and the unit is small/light enough that the included "velcro" or (in my case) double sided tape will hold it in place.

As far as ease of use, the remote display acts just like the display/controls on the V1 itself. Split volume knobs, arrows and band indicators are all there. This unit does not shift the source of the audio which still comes from the V1 itself, it only moves the visual display and the controls.

I had to get this because some dumb swine saw my light on the radar detector and chased me three miles down the interstate to see what the light was. Fortunately I was not speeding (obviously I have a radar detector) so all he could do is look for it on my dash when he pulled up next to me, but I had already taken it down so he could not see it. It did make me laugh though, he got so butthurt about it that he had his buddy cop ride my bumper for ten miles a few minutes later in the hopes that I had put the radar detector back up when he drove off. Also, people read this and ask do people really ride your bumper when they see you have a radar detector? YES!! It is beyond annoying. They can get their own radar detector or go the speed limit instead of trying to mooch off of someone else.
