I am very happy I purchased this antenne. It fits just fine on my Yaesu FT-60R radio and works great for short range work. If you use the factory antenna on low to reach a repeater you will probably need to use medium power to reach it with this antenna. I turned it to high power and still was able to reach the repeater over 20+ miles away maybe even 25+ miles and that's from inside my house on the couch. The medium just wasn't enough throw. For close work throw it on and put it in a belt pouch and you won't even know the radio is there, you never feel the antenna poking you in the side again. When I get a new radio I will buy one for it also.
