I have been using Escort Live for over a month now and am very happy with the product.
I have not experienced any build quality issues that others have stated so maybe that was just a bad batch?
There are a few minor bugs in the android version of the software but I've been in touch with Escort to report them and from what I've been told the developers are working on a new release.
Pros: (or things I like about Escort Live)
-It gives you the ability to update the firmware of your detector without sending it back in to Escort.
-It basically allows you to have a concealed display for your detector. This is very nice for those living in areas where detectors are illegal. The detector itself can be hidden and the display viewed on the smartphone.
-It allows for GPS based locking out of false alerts. This is great for those that want the performance of the M3 antenna (Redline, STi-Magnum, STi-R/STi-R+, 9500CI) but don't want to pay over $1000 for the...Read more

My father got my twin sister and I escort live as wall as passport 8500's as birthday presents, and I gotta say it's fantastic. Live is very fast and has few bugs that actually are an issue. I live in a small size town but there are about a half dozen other people who have live and the connection between the devices is great and very accurate, it always brings a little smirk when the guy in the Italia 458 marks down every single cop in town and I get to ride worry free because I can see where they are way before they can even see me. The only qualm I have with live is that on the older based Androids it can run slow as dirt sometimes but is normally not an issue. I defiantly recommend this product very worth the investment and trust me talk your friends into it and you'll enjoy that many times more.

A must have adition to your X50/9500ix,

I received my LIVE cord for my RedLine the beginning of February, and the over all quality of the cord is great, the mute and report buttons are easy to use and differentiate. Escort LIVE is a smart power cord that communicates between your Escort radar detector and your smart phone via BT, in my case I use a Bionic. LIVE utilities data from other users according to real time radar detected and alerts you to what they have detected ahead of you.
The app provides a map view and dashboard view with your current speed and the PSL. LIVE also provides the ability to lock out those annoying false alerts and your daily commute for a quiet ride.
It was very easy to hook up LIVE and the app settings were easy to customize. My first long drive I saw that there was other LIVE users, which I was happy about since one LIVE cord can communicate to others ahead of radar and cop's spotted.So far I have not gotten any camera or speed trap alerts, but there aren't any in my state...Read more
