RadarHAWK T2 Instant Wireless Radar Detector

I bought this detector because of its cordless feature to use on a motorcycle. Most of the time however I use it plugged in using the supplied power cord.

I also have a much more expensive Escort Passport 8500. Soon after starting to use the Traveller, I found that it was even more sensitive than the Passport with far fewer false alarms. The Traveller is also much better at filtering out X band radar coming from garage door openers, etc.

I then did a test in my car with both detectors. plugged in one at a time.I pointed my car towards a local radar fixed trap.I drove my car towards the sign with my Passport on. I then turned my car around and drove the same route with my Traveller.

The Traveller detected the radar signal about 300 feet before the Passport.

Be aware however that the Traveller II, like all similar cordless detectors, functions quite a bit less effectively when used cordlessly compared to its plugged in mode.This...Read more
