It has multiple functions of which can be turned on or off.
Some earlier reviews remarked that it is too sensitive, Thats not true, reading the instructions is a must for this detector as it is not just a basic plug and play. Yes you can just plug it in but you have the option of adjusting it for your driving conditions. The intelimute shuts the detector off when the engine rpms fall below a certain level. This eliminates a constant warning while you are sitting still. The voice feature is nice. It can be turned off or on. I found it odd that it begins with a female voice saying " system ready" and afterwards the warnings are male voices. I would not recommend this as a first detector because it's features would overwhelm a novice. But for the seasoned detector user, this is a great detector to have. Its affordable and it works and does everything it says it does. I drive back and forth from home and work every day and it's fun to hear it go off and see a cop. its like an I SPY game but with cops and you get to cheat.
It has never given off a false alarm. And works well even with my car(an older model). It lets her know way in advance who is gunning for her if when goes over the speed limit. Also I brought this item at a real bargain. I am hoping to get one for myself. |
