When we designed the BlendMount for the V1 Radar Detector (RD), quality and adjustability were our main objectives. We wanted to utilize the dead space between the back of the mirror and the windshield. With the multiple adjustments we designed, the perfect RD placement can be achieved. Even before receiving your BlendMount, first Adjustment is to reposition your Mirror Stem so it is perpendicular to your Windshield by using the Windshield Pivot at the end of your Cylindrical Stem (see pics). Next adjustment is to also reposition the Stem as High as possible using the same Windshield Pivot. Both these adjustments ensure that your RD will point straight out the Windshield, and minimize any View Obstruction. Then simply readjust the Mirror using the Mirror Pivot only, taking care not to disturb the newly acquired Stem Position. Once you receive and install your BlendMount, there are other adjustments that allow the perfect placement of your RD, such as (1) Stem Slide, (2) Hinge Swing, and (3) Vertical Slot (see pics). All these adjustments are clearly described in our Installation Instructions and literally allow for the Perfect Placement of your RD. Get rid of those failing/falling suction cups and Clean Up your windshield !!! This mount works great on my 2011 Mustang for my Valentine One radar scanner. I installed it in about 5 minutes and even hard wired the Valentine One into my power mirror.
PROS: * Easy to install. * Doesn't take any aesthetics away from the car. * Doesn't come loose (does if you fumble with it a lot.) * Fits perfectly under the rear view mirror and the Valentine doesn't hit the mirror when putting it in the bracket or removing it. * No more suction cups and radar detectors hanging off of your windshield.
CONS: * The mount moves with the mirror. Since the mirror is turned toward you in the driver seat, the mount and the radar scanner ends up facing the right side of the road which sometimes causes the scanner to not catch radar on the left side of the road. Sometimes, not all of the time. * Very pricey but the company knows people like me will pay the premium to get rid of suction cups.

This mount is perfect easy to install and not sure if everyone knows, in the state of california it is illegal to use the suction mount the Valentine 1 provide you cannot have the radar detector mounted on your wind shield which means you cannot use the suction mounts, click on link below for more information. Anyway you will love this mount on your rear view mirror and they give you all the tools you need to get the job done.

When I purchased the blendmount, I received an email from the vendor making certain that the mount would fit my car. I received the mount via priority mail in a couple of days. I asked the vendor a question, and it was quickly answered. It only took about 10 minutes to read the instructions and to install the mount. It looks great, unique, and professionally installed!!! Mounted from the mirror gives a great view of the detector, and frees up visibility from not having the windshield mount.
It is kinda expensive for just a mount, but well worth the money for the professional and unique look. Look in customer pictures to see how it looks in my 2012 CR-V.
