BEL PRO CUSTOM INSTAL RADAR NO MAP

Comment: This is a terrific radar detector/laser jammer. I like it so much in my M3, I had one installed in my wife's Pilot. They have both been running perfectly since day one and have more than paid for themselves in avoided fines. The key is installation and I highly recommend a custom professional installation. On my M3, I have the radar sensor and two laser "shifters" (jammers) up front and one laser shifter in the rear. Since the Pilot has such a huge front end, we have everything up front and nothing in the rear (nobody shoots laser at the rear).

I have been very impressed with the range and ability to customize alerts. You can specifically delete certain frequencies that give you false alarms. For example, those new radar based cruise control systems set off one of the X-band radar frequencies. I forgot which one, but we shut that down.

I don't know about the warranty complaint in the other review, but we have been very happy with ours.

I note that they stopped making this model and now only sell the RX45, which looks like a more basic model. You can now find amazing deals on the RX75PLUS - which (in my humble opinion) is the best out there.

Comment: My Radar detector was purchased January 2010. One month later the detector stopped working and would not turn on. I verified it was not the power source or the cable; the unit was receiving power but would not turn on. Well I wasn't too happy but I knew it was covered by a 1 Year warranty. I called up Beltronics only to find out that they DO NOT HONOR WARRANTY CLAIMS for products purchased from Amazon.com!!! Even worse, they wanted $79.99 + shipping to fix the unit. Needless-to-say, I find their level of customer service inadequate and disconcerting given the volume of product they sell through this site. I will not purchase another Beltronics product and would advise highly against it given their lack of professionalism in standing behind the quality of their own product.
