In addition to its impressive detection features, the Zodiac II comes with a built-in vehicle compass with eight cardinal points (N, S, E, W, NE, SE, NW, SW), so you'll always know which direction you're heading. And users who spend a lot of time urban areas will appreciate the inclusion of two city modes along with the two highway modes. The city modes are specifically calibrated to reduce false alerts from automatic garage door openers, alarm systems, and other urban signals. Additional features include an X band delete mode, which blocks the X band in the second highway and city modes; separate displays for the compass and radar detector; an automatic audio control that instinctively adjusts audio levels for continuous alerts; brightness, volume, mute, and sensitivity controls; and mode memory, which retains all your preferred operational modes each time you turn off the Zodiac II.
To ease the transition for first-time users, the Zodiac II includes a tutorial mode that walks you through the various audio and visual alerts. The device, which measures 2.8 by 1.5 by 4.2 inches (W x H x D), comes with all the necessary hardware for mounting to your dash. It's also backed by a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
